A Heritage in Technology and Art...

Fine Art Impressions is a leading digital imaging studio featuring a state-of-the-art production facility in Davidson, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte. The founder, Gary Kerr, started publishing his father James L. Kerr, a respected artist and instructor who has enjoyed a significant following as a watercolorist.

Kerr, a technical wizard in the digital imaging business and life-long photographer, has been a Photoshop user since 1989 and offers a vast knowledge of digital workflow and color management advice to his clients. Before starting Fine Art Impressions, he worked as a strategic technology consultant for large corporate clients such as Standard & Poors, McGraw-Hill, American Express, and Merrill Lynch where he was known for his hyper-expertise.

He started Fine Art Impressions in Boston where he was the "go to" printmaker for the Boston fine art community. He then moved his studio to Davidson, North Carolina in 2003 to be closer to family and serve other strategic clients in Atlanta and Miami art markets. His expertise is in printmaking, scanning and in photographing artwork for his clients using the Better Light digital scanning back.

Well-known throughout the trade, he is often quoted and interviewed by publications such as:
